Mental Health Services Provided By A Better Tomorrow
Better Tomorrow provides a variety of support options tailored to its clients’ mental health requirements. The list of services provided is as follows:
1. Therapy for Children, Adolescents and Teenagers
At A Better Tomorrow Counseling Services warm-hearted therapists create and offer a safe space for kids and teens to speak about their feelings, figure out how to deal with their emotions, and come up with healthy coping strategies.
Their therapists work with different types of therapy depending on what each child needs. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Teaches kids to identify and change negative thoughts and behaviors.
They learn how to deal with intense feelings in a constructive manner, using Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). With Family Therapy, families can learn ways to connect with each other and strengthen their bond.
They offer Play Therapy, which allows younger children to express their emotions through play, helping them to open up about their feelings.
Therapy can help kids with all of these situations, with different needs based on your child’s age, and can be especially helpful for kids dealing with the loss of a loved one, bullying, abuse, changes in the family such as a divorce or move, anxiety, depression, ADHD, or eating disorders.
If therapy isn’t an immediate fix, it offers kids the strategies they need to face adversity, develop confidence and become thriving adults.
2. Couples and family counseling
A Better Tomorrow Counseling Services offers counseling services for couples and families to work on communication, conflict resolution, and relationship building.
Even seasoned therapists can guide couples through trust issues, life transitions and emotional distance. With counseling, partners can find healthier communication methods, restore intimacy and reconnect.
For families, therapy provides strategies for resolving conflict, better communication and rebuilding trust once broken. Therapists help family members turn their home into a more positive and understanding environment.
The practice also helps new parents who may be grappling with postpartum depression or acclimating to life with a newborn. Those who are also newly single can return to the concepts of counseling that may have been discussed in therapy to deal with sadness, anger, and loneliness and to help give them a healthy path forward.
3. Individual Therapy
At A Better Tomorrow Counseling Services, we provide a therapy experience that is customized for each individual’s specific needs and goals. “
Whether it be ADHD, autism, anxiety, mood disorders, and more, our therapists have the training to support the positive change needed to help that individual feel better and improve their way of life.”
Therapy exists for many kinds of challenges, including anger issues, depression, grief, trauma and compulsive behaviors. The center also assists those dealing with stress, low self-esteem, social anxiety, PTSD, OCD, fears and chronic illness.
There is specialized therapy for men’s health, women’s health, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and survivors of sexual abuse.
In addition to therapy that implements the principles of mindfulness, they also possess a team of licensed therapists, psychologists, and counselors capable of helping individuals find clarity, overcome emotional distress, and restore balance in life.
4. Bariatric Surgery Counseling & Evaluations
A Better Tomorrow provides assessments and counseling for patients who are considering bariatric (weight loss) surgery, which can be an effective treatment for severe obesity.
Before having the surgery, a mental health evaluation is needed to help confirm that the individual is emotionally and mentally prepared to go through the procedure.
This helps make sure that they can manage the changes that come with the procedure and that no mental health issues might impact their success.
This is a requirement for surgery according to the National Institute of Health. It ensures that the individual understands the procedure and is making an informed choice. Eating disorders or body image issues will disqualify someone from surgery.
The evaluation doesn’t take longer than 30 to 45 minutes and costs $85 because it is not covered by most insurance plans. A report is then sent to the patient’s doctor, and the patient receives a copy too.
Their clients are also encouraged to schedule follow-up counseling to facilitate a smooth recovery. The continual support assists with the emotional aspect of weight loss and increases long-term success.
