About Courage To Connect Mental Wellness Center

Courage to Connect Mental Health Center is a safe space for this purpose as it welcomes individuals and families.
The center grew from a vision from Dr. Michael Clatch in 2012 to make mental health care more available to the community.
As the demand for services increased, his wife, Brianne Clatch, came on in 2014 as director of operations, with the goal of developing the center into a full-service practice.
Today the center, which includes a team of more than 40 dedicated clinicians and staff, provides therapy, psychological testing, executive functioning coaching and psychiatry — all in one place.
Courage to Connect focuses on offering compassionate care, removing barriers to mental health services, and creating a safe space where hope and healing can thrive.
Common Mental Health Issues Addressed
1. Adult Therapy
Courage to Connect Mental Health Center provides adult therapy to help people cope with and overcome life challenges regardless of age.
Whether you are simply dealing with life changes, stress, or mental health issues, therapy offers a safe space for you to heal and develop.
The therapists use a strengths-based perspective to provide you with insight into your experiences, and coping skills, and to help you with your goals.
Each treatment plan is individually designed to provide the support and tools you need in order to feel stronger, more capable, and fulfilled in life.
2. Therapy for Children and Adolescents
Courage to ConnectMental Health Center treated children and adolescents in a way that was natural and comfortable for them.
During such sessions, the therapists create a supportive space for young people to express themselves without reservation, whether that be through conversation, creative exercises or a walk outside.
The goal is to help them develop confidence, feel their feelings and “have healthy coping skills so that they can handle the stuff of life.”
And for individuals more comfortable expressing themselves through art, music or movement, creative therapy offers another outlet for their voice.
The team also works together on treatment plans, including medication management if indicated for continuity of care.
3. Couples Therapy
Their couples therapy teaches partners to better communicate, resolve conflicts and rebuild trust.
Therapists offer support, guidance, and framework to enable couples to navigate each other, their fears, their challenges and most importantly, their love for each other.
The aim is to provide a safe environment for each partner to be heard, validated, and interlinked resulting in helping sell one which is more constructive and rewarding.
4. Executive Functioning Coaching
Courage to Connect Mental Health Center provides coaching to individuals to better develop key skills necessary to achieve their goals.
Therapists help clients develop improved focus, memory, time management, organization and problem-solving.
They also provide self-control and focus. And ultimately, to help clients gain the confidence and tools necessary to thrive, while creating a more vibrant, organized, intentional future.
5. Family Therapy
Family therapy helps families to improve communication and resolve conflict. Therapists assist family members, together or alone, to confront the challenges responsible for stress or for their inability to move forward.
The sessions can involve all family members or only those who are willing to participate. The aim is to help families grow, strengthen and build positive relationships and create a better, more supportive environment for all.
6. Telehealth
With their telehealth therapy, clients can meet with their therapist online using a computer, smartphone or tablet.
Well, this option makes for a much more flexible and accessible approach to therapy as you receive it from your own home, in the comfort of your pet.
It’s a great way to receive care in the way that works for you best, whether you’re physically able to go to the office or prefer online meetings.
7. Psychological Testing
It’s a special kind of psychological and neuropsychological testing, which helps you to know more about how you think, how you learn and how you feel.
These tests assess memory, attention, behavior and emotions, offering insight into how your brain functions.
This gives therapists an understanding of your strengths and where you may need additional assistance.
The key is to develop a treatment plan that works for you: strategies that help you thrive throughout your everyday life, whether that is in school/work or at home.
8. Adult Psychiatry
They also provide adult psychiatry, which is treating mental health issues through therapy and medication via the Courage to Connect Mental Health Center.
The psychiatry team can monitor and adjust medications during regular client meetings to make sure they’re effective and safe. Combined, they seek to improve a person’s overall health, along with targeting any established mental health or behavioral issues.
9. Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Courage to Connect Mental Health Center recently added child and adolescent psychiatry to their services, providing even more care for children who may have difficulty controlling emotions or behaviors.
And when needed, members undergo therapy which proves to be treatment and, at times, even medication to help them feel better. The team tracks the child’s progress to make sure the medication is effective.
The child’s treatment is supervised by experts in therapy and in medication, with regular monitoring and dosage adjustments to the levels most effective.
