Quality Care at El Dorado Community Health Centers

People are advised to establish counseling centers to encourage emotional health and mental well being. While providing support and guidance, these facilities also create a safe environment for an individual to literarily work through his or her problems.

El Dorado Community Health Centers is one of the Community Health Centers of choice for Mental Health Care. Specialized centers are only a handful, with patients receiving proper treatment to talk about their mental health issues.

This blog post will discuss how EDCHC offers and responds to different types of care: crisis intervention, therapy, and full-spectrum psychiatric care.

Additional options for counselling include services like BetterHelp, which provides detailed, tailored services like individual therapy, couples therapy, LGBTQ+ therapy, even faith-based counseling for users who desire it.

Mental Health Services Provided By EDCHC

1. Behavioral Health Care Services

El Dorado Community Health Centers (EDCHC) offers individual, couples and family and mental health support, focusing on the overall plan through therapy, psychiatry and addictions recovery.

Their compassionate and experienced team helps people address concerns such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, and trauma in addition to addiction and substance use struggles.

They also care for gender identity support, relationship and family counseling, grief, parenting issues and mental health education.

Testing for ADHD is offered for kids and teens (ages 7–17) as well as therapy for both long- and short-term needs. Other services provided include addiction recovery programs, group psychotherapy, case management and referrals to additional community resources.

2. Psychiatry Services

El Dorado Community Health Centers (EDCHC) can assist with the psychiatric needs of patients, once patients return to their primary care doctor for continued care.

Their psychiatric staff assesses patients’ mental state and develops individualized treatment plans that can include medication and other therapies. But they don’t perform specific assessments for ADHD.

To ensure the best treatment, EDCHC uses genomic testing to determine what medication is most effective for each patient, particularly important for those who have had difficulty finding the right medication.

If therapy is necessary, they can refer patients to counselors or other support programs such as STEPS. For patients who need more intensive mental health care, the EDCHC connects them with higher-level services.Once a patient stabilizes, their primary doctor continues treating them .

3. Integrated Behavioral Health Services

Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) services through El Dorado Community Health Centers (EDCHC) target the patient’s overall wellness mental and physical.

The team delivers acute mental health care, crisis services and brief psychotherapy, with the assistance of licensed clinicians and interns under supervision.

Patients are contacted within five business days of when primary care providers refer them for behavioral health services.

They also offer group therapies in partnership with the STEPS program for individuals with both mental health and substance use disorders.

The integration of STEPS care within primary mental health care has enabled EDCHC to serve their patients quickly, effectively, and with compassion.
