Services Provided By Glen Oaks Mental Health Hospital

Glen Oaks Mental Health Hospital provides services for adults and older adults dealing with addiction or mental health challenges.

They offer both inpatient and outpatient programs in a safe and comfortable environment.

Their behavioral health services focus on teaching coping skills, expressing feelings, increasing self-awareness, building relationships, improving interactive skills, maintaining a safe environment, and reducing acute symptoms.

1. Inpatient Programs

Inpatient care offers around-the-clock supervision and intense treatment for people facing a mental health emergency.

Glen Oaks Mental Health Hospital provides this service for adults dealing with mental illness or addiction to drugs or alcohol who need constant care in a safe therapeutic setting.

Their acute Psychiatric and Chemical Dependency treatment services are designed to help them recover and stabilize.

2. Outpatient Programs

At Glen Oaks Mental Health Hospital, outpatient programs provide different treatments for adults and teenagers dealing with trauma, substance abuse, and grief.

This means you can go to therapy sessions during the day or evening without missing school, work, or other things you need to do.

The Partial Hospitalization program is just for adults and offers options for staying overnight if you need it.

It’s good for people who need more help than regular outpatient services but don’t have to be in the hospital all the time.

This program runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., five days a week, and can be changed to fit what you need.

It includes individual therapy, learning new ways to think, taking medicine, going to workshops, and planning to get better.

There’s also an Intensive Outpatient Program, which is not as intense as the Partial Hospitalization program.

You can go to therapy sessions a few times a week while still living at home. This program focuses on mental health and substance abuse, and treating both together.

In both programs, a team of professionals like doctors, social workers, and therapists work together to understand your problems and make a plan to help you.
