Mental Health Treatment Programs Provided By Sylvia Brafman

The mental health treatment programs offered include a variety of options designed to meet the needs of individuals facing different challenges.

1. Family-centred Mental Health Treatment

One key program is family-centered treatment, which engages both the individual and their family in the healing process, enhancing communication and strengthening relationships.

This program incorporates therapy, counselling, and support groups to address both personal and familial mental health concerns, available in inpatient and outpatient formats, including specialized programs like PHP and IOP.

2. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

For those requiring more intensive care while maintaining their daily routines, the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides structured treatment with several hours of therapy multiple times a week.

This program is suitable for individuals dealing with issues such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety, offering services like individual and group therapy, family counselling, and medication management.

3. Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) caters to individuals needing intensive treatment during the day but who don’t require 24-hour care.

Participants engage in both group and individual therapy while receiving crisis support and medication management, allowing them to stay at nearby housing or return home at night.

4. Outpatient Mental Health Treatment

Outpatient mental health treatment allows individuals to receive care without overnight stays.

Patients visit clinics or counselling centres for scheduled appointments, receiving services such as one-on-one therapy, group sessions, and medication management.

This option is particularly suited for those with milder mental health concerns or those transitioning from more intensive treatment.

5. Inpatient Treatment Program

For individuals requiring around-the-clock support, inpatient treatment provides a structured environment for intensive care, including counselling and therapeutic activities to promote healing and stability.

6. Psychiatric Care

Psychiatric care focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, involving various therapies to address emotional and behavioural issues.

This care is delivered by trained professionals and aims to reduce symptoms and improve the quality of life through collaborative efforts.

7. Neuropsychological Testing and Treatment

Additionally, neuropsychological testing and treatment are available for those experiencing neuropsychiatric disorders, which can impact both brain function and mental health.

The centre provides assessments of cognitive abilities, such as memory and attention, and offers tailored treatment options including therapy, medication, and crisis support.

What Makes Sylvia Brafman Different?

The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center stands out by putting mental health treatment at the forefront, unlike traditional rehab models that often treat it as secondary.

Their main goal is to correctly diagnose and address core mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and bipolar disorder.

By focusing on these underlying issues, they ensure that substance abuse problems are properly treated at their root rather than just managing the symptoms.

What truly sets them apart is their leadership. Co-founder Ben Brafman and Director of Psychiatry Dr. Rick Seely are both highly respected in their field, with decades of experience and personal recovery journeys that give them deep empathy and understanding toward their patients.

They also emphasize the importance of family in the healing process through their widely praised Family Program, recognizing that recovery is more effective within a strong support system.

With a small, intimate setting that fosters a sense of community and connection, the centre takes an innovative and personalized approach to care, going beyond standard rehab practices.

Instead of a one-size-fits-all model, they offer thoughtful, individualized treatment focused on getting the diagnosis right and addressing the root causes of mental health struggles.

Their approach is passionate, authentic, and designed to help patients achieve long-lasting recovery.
