Mental Health Services Provided By Beachway

Beachway Mental Health offers a wide range of services to support individuals in overcoming addiction and mental health challenges.

1. Detoxification Programs

Beachway provides inpatient detox programs designed to offer medical supervision and compassionate care during the withdrawal process.

The detoxification phase is critical, as patients stop using substances under close observation, often for a short period, depending on the substance and the severity of the withdrawal symptoms.

For those detoxing from alcohol or multiple substances, a longer observation period may be necessary.

After completing detox, patients transition into the inpatient program, where they continue their recovery journey with the full support of Beachway’s dedicated staff.

2. Inpatient Programs

At Beachway’s inpatient treatment centre, individuals receive tailored rehab programs, combining therapy with holistic wellness approaches.

Inpatient care provides 24/7 supervision in a structured environment, offering patients around-the-clock support.

Beachway’s inpatient programs are designed to help patients address the root causes of their struggles, build coping mechanisms, and work through both addiction and mental health issues.

Inpatient care typically lasts for days or weeks, after which patients may step down to outpatient programs to continue their recovery.

The compassionate staff and evidence-based treatment methods at Beachway ensure high-quality care in a supportive environment.

3. Outpatient Programs

Beachway also offers outpatient programs for those who need ongoing treatment but must maintain daily responsibilities.

Outpatient care provides flexibility, allowing individuals to attend therapy and treatment sessions while living at home.

Depending on the intensity of their needs, patients may join the intensive outpatient program, with treatment 3-5 times per week, or partial hospitalization, which offers less intensive support.

Beachway’s outpatient services are designed to support long-term recovery, utilizing holistic therapies to prevent setbacks and help patients stay on track.

4. Specialty Programs

Beachway offers several speciality treatment tracks to meet the needs of each patient. These include:

  • Aftercare Programs, provide continued support after discharge to help maintain recovery progress.
  • Faith-based care, allows patients to integrate their spiritual beliefs into their recovery journey.
  • Long-Term Care, which extends treatment beyond 30 or even 90 days to support sustained recovery for individuals needing more time in treatment.

Beachway’s specialized programs provide a personalized approach, helping patients achieve lasting sobriety while addressing their individual needs.

Therapy Services

Beachway incorporates a range of therapy methods to address the complex nature of addiction and mental health recovery, including:

1. Holistic Therapy

This approach embraces the connection between body, mind, and spirit, encouraging balance and overall well-being.

This therapy empowers patients to connect deeply with themselves, promoting long-term healing beyond just mental health recovery.

2. Trauma-Focused Therapy

Many individuals struggling with addiction or mental health challenges have experienced trauma.

Trauma-focused therapy at Beachway is designed to help patients process and heal from traumatic events that may be fueling their emotional or behavioural issues.

This approach helps patients safely explore their past, understand the impact of trauma on their mental health, and develop coping mechanisms to manage distressing memories and emotions.

With compassionate support, individuals can move beyond their traumatic experiences and regain control over their lives.

3. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT is particularly effective for individuals who have difficulty managing intense emotions or have a history of self-destructive behaviours.

At Beachway, DBT is used to teach skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and improving relationships.

Through a combination of individual therapy and skills training groups, patients learn to better cope with stress, reduce self-harming behaviours, and navigate interpersonal conflicts more effectively.

4. EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful technique that helps individuals process and resolve traumatic memories.

EMDR involves guided eye movements while recalling distressing memories, allowing patients to reprocess these memories and reduce their emotional intensity.

This therapy is particularly useful for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related issues.

By helping patients reframe how they experience traumatic memories, EMDR allows them to break free from the grip of the past and move forward with confidence and peace.

5. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is one of the most widely used and evidence-based therapies for treating a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.

At Beachway, CBT helps patients identify negative thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to their mental health challenges.

By recognizing and challenging these thoughts, individuals can replace them with healthier, more positive beliefs and behaviours.

This therapy equips patients with practical tools to manage their symptoms, enhance problem-solving skills, and promote lasting behavioural change.

6. Solution-Focused Therapy

A future-oriented approach, this therapy focuses on creating positive solutions and envisioning a life free from the burdens of addiction and mental health issues.

This helps patients build hope, confidence, and motivation as they work towards recovery and a better quality of life.

At Beachway Mental Health, all aspects of the treatment programs are designed with dignity, respect, and compassion.

From the serene environment to expert-led therapies, patients are provided with the support, skills, and insights needed for long-term recovery and a fulfilling life.

Treatment Programs and How It Works?

Beachway’s programs are divided into two primary categories: mental health and substance abuse treatment.

For patients focusing on mental health who do not require detox, they will usually enter a residential mental health program, which lasts around 30 days.

In contrast, patients dealing with substance abuse typically begin with a detoxification process.

This detox stage involves short-term observation, usually lasting up to seven days, depending on the patient’s history of substance use.

Following detox, patients step down to residential care, where they receive ongoing support from the clinical team.

From there, they may transition into either a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

The IOP typically consists of sessions 3 to 5 times per week. The level of care required—whether PHP or IOP—is often determined by the patient’s insurance provider based on clinical necessity.

It’s important to note that detox is not an elective process but a medical decision made by Beachway’s clinical staff.

While patients may choose between inpatient and outpatient care, Beachway’s therapists may recommend inpatient care if they determine it is necessary due to the severity of the patient’s substance use.

Before starting any treatment, every patient undergoes a comprehensive clinical evaluation to help Beachway’s team craft a personalized care plan.
