Mental Health Services Provided By Reproductive Mental Health and Wellness

Reproductive Mental Health and Wellness offers a range of mental health services designed to support individuals dealing with fertility-related challenges, pregnancy, and postpartum concerns.

1. Individual Therapy

Individual therapy provides a safe space to address personal issues or barriers impacting an individual’s life. Each session lasts around 55 minutes and is typically held weekly or biweekly.

At the start of therapy, regular sessions are recommended, gradually spacing them out as progress is made.

Goals are set collaboratively between the therapist and the client to ensure meaningful outcomes.

2. Support Groups

The center also offers support groups which help with feelings of isolation, improve coping skills, and provide an opportunity to share experiences.

Group participants gain emotional support while also helping others facing similar struggles.

Reproductive Mental Health and Wellness currently offers specialized support groups such as the Fertility Challenges Peer Support Group and the Postpartum Peer Support Group.

3. Training & Consulting

They also provide training and consulting services for professionals who want to improve their understanding of reproductive mental health.

Customized presentations cover a range of topics, including emotional experiences during fertility treatments and reproductive loss, and identifying perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

Their training aims to enhance staff sensitivity and patient support in dealing with these often complex emotional experiences.
