Horizons Mental Health Center: Path to Wellness

Mental and emotional health is often neglected as people deal with daily tasks like work, family, and personal responsibilities.

Many individuals face stress, anxiety, or trauma without seeking help, which can make things harder to manage.

Just as we would see a doctor for physical health issues, it’s important to give the same attention to our mental health.

Horizons Mental Health Center provides a caring and compassionate environment where mental health is addressed through a holistic approach.

The centre offers a variety of services to help people dealing with mental health challenges, allowing them to regain stability and improve their well-being.

Horizons focuses on providing the right tools and therapies to help individuals find balance and thrive.

For those who may have difficulty attending in-person therapy, online platforms like BetterHelp offer a convenient option.

BetterHelp allows individuals to connect with licensed therapists through video calls, phone sessions, or text messaging—all from the comfort of their own homes.

This makes therapy more accessible, especially for those with busy schedules or limited mobility.

Community Services aims to help people of all ages achieve mental wellness while thriving in their communities.

For children and teens with emotional challenges, there are family-centered programs offering support at home and in the community.

Adults with serious mental health issues can benefit from services like supported employment, case management, and peer support, helping them stay independent and avoid hospitalization.

4. Learn & Play Therapeutic Center

The Learn & Play Therapeutic Center (LPTC) at Horizons Mental Health Center offers support for young children, ages 3 to 5, who are facing emotional or behavioural difficulties.

The program focuses on helping these children develop the skills they need to thrive in a preschool setting and beyond.

Horizons Mental Health Center Reviews

Horizons Mental Health Center focuses on offering high-quality, affordable mental health care that is both preventative and therapeutic, tailored to each individual’s needs.

The centre has earned recognition as one of the top five practices in Kansas for improving healthcare quality, safety, and value.

However, patient feedback highlighted concerns about long wait times for initial appointments, stressing the importance of timely mental health services.

At the time, Horizons was able to schedule only about 29% of initial visits on the same day, indicating a need to improve accessibility.

The centre also provides 24/7 crisis services to ensure clients have support when they need it most.
