Kids also attend classes through Ki Charter Academy, which allows them to stay on pace in school while in treatment.

In operation since 1940, the center has been serving children for more than 80 years. It has, for over 50 years, supported military families through CHAMPUS and TRICARE®.”

1. Andrew Herod

Andrew Herod, CEO of San Marcos Treatment Center, has more than 16 years of mental health care experience.

He has been responsible for treatment centers and mental health programs in Tennessee, California and Nevada, including Willow Springs Center in Reno, which won a Quality Award for its exceptional care.

Andrew holds a degree in Communications from Biola University and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological School of Psychology.

His passion is to elevate the level of mental health treatment available for kids and teens so that every child gets the care, therapy and support necessary for them to heal and thrive.

2. Sean Garner

Sean Garner trains and coaches staff at San Marcos Treatment Center to use evidence-based practices in treating patients.
