Tom Bolger is the Board Chair of Sound Mental Health, he has lived in Seattle for a long time and wanted to help with important local issues like mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness.

Professionally, Tom is the Chief Strategy Officer at West Monroe, a business consulting firm. 

In this role, he focuses on planning and developing the company’s growth strategies. 

He also plays a part in the Investment Committee for West Monroe Capital, which he helped start in 2018.

2. Roger Dowdy

Roger Dowdy is the Vice Chair of the Board at Sound. With a background as a licensed clinical social worker, he has dedicated his career to advocating for marginalized communities and believes in the importance of strong human connections in healthcare.

He began as a case manager at Community Psychiatric Clinic, which is now part of Sound and later took on leadership roles in various healthcare organizations, including Kaiser Permanente and Virginia Mason Medical Center. 

His experience is valuable as Sound integrates mental health with primary care.

Currently, Roger is the Vice President of Mental Health Strategy at Providence, where he focuses on improving mental health care and adapting to changes in the healthcare system. 

3. Jeff Wilcox

Jeff Wilcox is the Board Chair for Finance at Sound. He has over 20 years of experience in commercial banking, focusing on growing markets and improving team performance. 

Known for his leadership, Jeff is skilled in sales, credit, and operations, helping teams succeed even during tough economic times.

Outside of Sound, he serves on several boards, including the Overlake Medical Center and Providence Healthcare Foundations. 

His financial expertise supports Sound in strengthening its financial health and operations.

4. Annemarie Beliard

Annemarie Beliard is dedicated to helping her community, especially those dealing with homelessness, mental health issues, and substance abuse, no matter their income or insurance.

With over 13 years at Adobe as a Product Marketing Manager, Annemarie launched new products and led teams. 

She also helped support women in the workplace as co-chair of the Seattle chapter of Women @ Adobe.

5. Sharon Griggins

Sharon Griggins leads the Fundraising and Communications Committee. 

She has a lot of experience in fundraising and community relations from her work with nonprofits like the Seattle Art Museum and the Seattle Public Library Foundation.

Now retired, Sharon stays active in her community as a consultant for Library Strategies, which helps libraries improve their services. 

Sharon is dedicated to Sound’s mission to support mental health in Seattle, making sure everyone can get help, no matter their background. 

6. Loan Lam

Loan Lam grew up in an Asian immigrant family, she knows how stigma can prevent people from seeking help, and she wants to help change that.

Loan has over 18 years of experience in healthcare. She is currently the director of surgical specialities at Seattle Children’s Hospital, where she oversees operations in Anesthesiology and Ophthalmology. 

She has a strong background in improving processes and has worked with leaders in various fields to improve healthcare.

7. Christine McHugh

Christine McHugh joined Sound’s board in June 2021 because she believes in its mission to improve community health and support mental health resources for everyone, regardless of income or insurance.

She has 27 years of experience at Starbucks, where she worked in various roles, including vice president of customer service and operations. 

After leaving Starbucks, she worked at a healthcare start-up and started her own management consulting business to help smaller companies with strategy and leadership.

8. Stephen Muller

Stephen Muller cares about helping people in King County access mental health and substance use recovery services.

He is an executive at Blue State, a nonprofit marketing agency, where he has over 15 years of experience in digital marketing and fundraising for various organizations, including UNICEF and Teach for America. 

Stephen helps these organizations develop better strategies to make a bigger impact.

Previously, he was part of the Obama Digital team in the 2008 and 2012 elections, where he helped use the internet to connect with voters and managed a video production team.
