1. Dr. Steven Lopez
Dr. Steven Lopez is the Chief Medical Officer at Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health.
He went through his internship and completed his residency in adult psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2000.
He also had his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry in the year 2001. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Lopez focuses on pediatric issues. Some of them are autism, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, ADHD and medication management.
2. Dr. Eduardo Cifuentes
Dr. Eduardo Cifuentes obtained his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Centro America in Costa Rica in the year 1998.
He underwent his internship at the University of Kentucky where he graduated in 2004. He has joined Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health almost immediately after completing his training.
A Spanish speaker, Dr. Cifuentes offers both general and subspecialty care. His major areas of interest include adult ADHD, mood disorders and psychotic disorders.
3. Dr. Honora Sandifer
Dr. Honora Sandifer is a psychiatrist and is also the director of crisis stabilization at Palmetto hospital.
She went to medical school at the University of South Carolina and did her residency at Eastern Tennessee State University.
