1. Crisis and Outreach Services

Wyandot BHN’s crisis line is available 24/7 for anyone in need. When someone calls, a mental health professional will answer and discuss the caller’s struggles, offering helpful suggestions and tips to manage emotions or experiences. 

They may also provide referrals to additional resources. For those experiencing suicidal thoughts, personal distress, unusual behaviors, medication issues, or a traumatic event, immediate connection with Wyandot Center is encouraged.

The Crisis Clinic is situated at 1301 N. 47th St., Building A, Kansas City, KS, and operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can reach their 24/7 Crisis Line by calling 913-788-4200.

2. Behavioral Health and Support Services of Wyandotte

Wyandot Center provides a wide range of mental and behavioral health services to help people deal with feelings of sadness, anger, anxiety, or grief.

They provide personalized support for individuals and families. Their services encompass individual and group therapy, case management, peer support, attendant care, psychosocial groups, and therapeutic art at ArtMakers Place.  

They also have psychiatric and medication management services, along with an on-site pharmacy in partnership with Genoa Health.

3. Justice Involved Support Services

Wyandot Center’s Justice Involved Support Services strive to prevent individuals with mental illness from entering the criminal justice system by offering community-based assistance. 

They collaborate with criminal justice professionals to support and guide people through the court process. 

Available services include the Behavioral Health Court, crisis intervention with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, intensive case management, jail and court liaison services, KSHOP intensive case management and prison liaison, community corrections and court liaison, and mobile crisis response.
